Do you ever just want to read your cards but can never think of the right question to ask? Then this spread is for you! I've created this tarot spread to take the pressure off and help when you don't know what question to ask.
This spread provides a gentle overview of what's going on in your life right now, including any obstacles that you might be facing. It also includes spaces on how to move forward, including how to gain momentum and what the outcomes of your actions could be.
This spread is perfect for whenever you need a gentle nudge in the right direction and are wanting some general guidance for your life!
How to Read the "When you Don't Know What to Ask" Tarot Spread:

Cards 1–3 form the first part of the spread and give you clarity around what’s going on for you right now.
Card 1 represents your current situation and what you’re experiencing in the present moment.
Cards 2 and 3 sit above and below this card, and show the influences shaping that experience.
Card 2 represents external influences. This may include your environment, work, relationships, or outside opinions, and how that's having an impact on your current situation in Card 1. If this card appears in reverse, it could highlight an obstacle for your current situation, or that you’ve been overlooking this external influence and your attention is needed here.
Card 3 represents internal influences, such as your thoughts, beliefs, and emotional responses. This card shows how your inner world is interacting with your situation in card 1. If it appears in reverse, it may indicate that these thoughts or feelings are having more control than is helpful right now.
Together, cards 1–3 help you understand not just what is happening, but why it feels the way it does.
Cards 4–6 form the second part of the spread and focus on how to move forward from where you are now.
Card 4 represents your starting point and the next small step you can take. Look closely at the imagery and your understanding of this card for clues about what action is available to you right now. This doesn’t need to be a big or life-changing move. Remember, you can’t solve your entire life in a day!
Card 5 represents momentum, but it can also highlight where you may feel stuck. If this card shows challenging imagery or appears in reverse, it may point to where motivation dips or where blockages could arise after taking action. If it feels supportive, this card shows you what can help keep you moving forward.
Card 6 represents the potential outcome and where this combination of awareness, action, and momentum could lead. If this card appears challenging or reversed, it may be highlighting obstacles that could slow progress or require extra care. It doesn’t mean all hope is lost; it simply invites awareness and compassion for the process.
With this spread, look at what feels most exciting and manageable right now. This is where your attention wants to take you!
